Newbie with S1 106 Rallye

Hi,

My name is Brad been to a few of the meets so thought i would sign up below is my rallye took about nine months to build below is a few pics

When i brought her she looked like this

Where abouts you from? have you been down to any of our meets before??

This forum isnt overly lively to be honest lol so bare with the time delay on piosts

Cant s think I've seen it around though which is a shame.

Need a better write up for it, would love to know the spec a little better.

Tempted to 16v it?

Certainly spec below

Engine 1.6 8v S2 rallye engine
Piper fast road cam
vernier pulley
oversized pistons
4-2-1 manifold wrapped
OMP front upper adjustable strut brace
peugeot sport decat exhaust system with 2" rolled pipe
recently converted it to R6 bike carbs just got to get it all setup now

Exterior

Lowered 30mm on front rear to match
full respray in standard bianca white
Wheels are speedline comp2's with falken ze912 tyres

interior

Sparco deep dish wheel with omp boss
B&M quickshift kit + Quaiffe nylon gear knob

Everything else is pretty much standard.

I was tempted to 16v it but i prefer the 8v scream through the carbs

Future plans is to fit a Quaiffe LSD and get a better brake and suspension setup hopefully some billies

looking good, not a bad spec dude, make sure you bring it out in the new year!

i say keep the 8 valve...its always a bonus to be the underdog...especialy when you can see there face

Will do mate when do the meets generally start?

Meets will probably start March/April time and start out down one end of the county and kind of sweep across lol although were tempted to re-visit a well known airfield near you guys again this year! lol Thier is a video on youTube il link which gives you an idea of how it all goes down

One of our guys from Watton just picked up a little yellow 106 GTi yesterday, so your no longer alone on this one lol

Do you know Rob Boast (boost) then if your from out Diss way??

Know of him but not personally I have been up the airfield a few times only live 2 mins from it so can nearly hear it lol

I used to have a VTS so have lot of time for these small French tins.

I had a full blistein set up on mine, updated rear ARB and fully prolly usher, it worked well.
